DSE's C1 eligibility requires: Mathematics in Class XII OR at least 4 credits in Mathematics in Bachelor's Degree

My friend has neither Maths in XII nor is he from DU (so C2 is out). His Econ Hons had Mathematical Economics as a compulsory core paper worth 4 credits.

Does that count? My gut says no — it's an Economics course, not a standalone Maths elective. The official wording says "in Mathematics" which implies a separate course from the Maths discipline.

Anyone faced this situation or know how DSE admissions handles it?
