Diagnosed with fibroids 10 years ago. Admitted Friday for open myomectomy. Due to the location of my uterus, I had to get a vertical cut. There were complications and had to have a second procedure on Sunday and multiple blood transfusions throughout the week. If they grow back, I will definitely have a hysterectomy. A lot of restless nights in the hospital, but I will probably be discharged tomorrow morning. Please do not wait for your fibroids to grow. Get the procedure as soon as you’re able.
