Leather Finisher after Dyeing

Ok, I'm about to do something not smart. I have a Compartment bag in Bone and the paint has chipped all over the bag and it is extremely discolored. No amount of cleaning will help.

Here's what I'm planning to do:

  1. Deglaze the whole bag
  2. Using either Fiebing's or Angelus, what do y'all think?
  3. Dye the bag using Fiebing's Pro Dye
    1. I'm assuming it should be applied with a dauber instead of dipping the purse in the dye?
  4. Seal the dye

Here's my main question, what do I use as a sealer/finisher? I want to keep that soft feel to the leather; here are some items I was looking at:

  1. Fiebing's Tan Kote
    1. Would the resin finish suffocate the leather?
  2. Fiebing's Resolene
    1. This is an acrylic finish, I think I might stay away from this one
  3. Fiebing's Leather Balm with Atom Wax
    1. This one might be my best bet, what do y'all think?
  4. Bee Natural Leathercare Leather Finish
  5. Fiebing's Carnauba Cream

I wish ANY of these brands would provide an even a basic list of ingredients.

I know I'm probably going to destroy this bag BUT it was a cheap buy and I'm feeling adventurous.
