Boston pup, who had BOAS surgery, and a couple ear infections (maybe food allergy?).
Currently with Healthy Paws- $500 deductible and $48 a month.
Enrolled in Trupanion because I planned to switch. It was really hard to get HP to approve BOAS appeal (after they denied it initially, HP customer support was pretty awful)
Trupanion is $84 a month, $700 deductible per condition.
I’m afraid anything related to his airway in the future (maybe even pneumonia or something) will be considered “preexisting” with Trupanion…. Or ear infections…. Or allergies…..
should I stick with HP now to be “safe” or take my chances and continue onto Trupanion?
I don’t see a lot of complaints about Trupanion in this sub, but I see tons about HP raising premiums and lowering coverage for older dogs? (He’s still a pup now, but won’t be forever)

I’ve been trying to log in for 3 days, from 2 different devices and different internet sources and nothing is working? Just sends me in a loop back to the log in page. Anyone else or I’m just lucky? Trying to cancel because I’m sticking with my old insurance to avoid preexisting conditions.
