I’m a month post op and yesterday my doctor told me to take the scar tape off and start massaging with moisturiser for a few weeks before I start with silicone tape.

I’ve been doing this, and noticed this small opening. It’s not actively bleeding and doesn’t hurt. I’ve left a message for my doctor but they’re not available until tomorrow and it’s not emergency call worthy, as I assume it’s a stitch moving or dissolving from the movement and pressure.

I’ve searched through this subreddit and seen some other similar pictures but nobody saying what they were recommended to do. For now, I’ve put the microporous surgery tape over the area, which I’ll put my compression top on over.

If anyone’s experienced similar, before I can speak to my doctor, please let me know if this is the correct thing to do!

Thank you in advance

‼️EDIT‼️
Update: Doctor said I reacted correctly and confirmed that I should stop massaging and put back on the scar tape across all of the incision that i was previously using for another 4 weeks to ensure healing as evidently still fragile!

Hi! I’m one month post top surgery (yippeeee, finally!) and have been given the all clear from my surgeon to go swimming in two weeks time!

I am stealth and don’t want to show my scars, plus I want to protect them from any sun. Can anyone recommend a swimming top that’s okay in a chlorinated pool and the sea?

Thanks in advance!!!

Not many people know that I’m trans so I don’t get to talk to people about the surgery- but I’m so happy with results.
My left side is a little fuller and the scars are slightly more stretched, but I understand it will even out and fade over time, I’m still relatively early days.

I’ve known I’m ftm for 10+ years and didn’t think I’d be alive to see this happen. Beyond happy. With so much love to the NHS Chelsea and Westminster clinical team, led by Safi Ali−Khan.
