Saudi Foreign Marriage Process - Saudi Man / British Fiancée

Can someone please advise us on the best way forward, and if anyone has experience with this, could you please provide sincere advice?

I am 26 and my boyfriend is 28 according to the Hijri calendar. We have been together for 5 years and both want to make the relationship permissible and halal as soon as possible. We desperately want to get married and for me to be able to live with him.

We have considered getting legally married in the UK and then living together while visiting Saudi on a tourist visa, renewing it every 6 months, and later officially registering the marriage in Saudi once he turns 30. However, we are very worried about the possible penalties and legal complications.

Could anyone please advise us on the safest and most practical way forward? Is there another option, such as getting married and legalising the marriage in the UAE or Bahrain instead? Has anyone gone through a similar experience successfully? However, we are not going to give up on eachother despite the age restrictions.

URGENT - Dilemma about property chain

Hi all,

I’m nearing the final stages of the house buying/selling process, but things are starting to fall apart and I’d like some advice.

To make it easier to understand:

  • Person X = the people buying my house
  • Person Y = the couple whose house I am buying

Here’s the situation:

  • Person X has reached the final stage of purchasing my property, and we are now just waiting to agree on an exchange and completion date.
  • The delay is being caused by Person Y. They are having a new house built from scratch on a piece of land.
  • Originally, Person Y promised they would move into temporary accommodation (such as a rental property, Airbnb, or hotel) if their new build was not ready in time.
  • However, now that we are trying to finalise exchange and completion dates, Person Y are refusing to move into temporary accommodation.
  • Because of this delay and uncertainty, Person X is now considering pulling out of the purchase entirely.

Has anyone been in a similar situation before? What options do I realistically have here?

Hi all,

I’m in England.

A few years ago, my stepdad asked to use my name/details for a limited company connected to a Shopify business. At the time I trusted him and didn’t really understand the responsibilities or risks involved.

I’m now older, working in a regulated profession, dealing with finances, and I’m becoming increasingly uncomfortable being linked to companies I’m not actively operating myself.

There also seem to have been multiple companies opened and later dissolved over time, which has started making me nervous from a liability/tax perspective, even though I haven’t personally been handling the business operations or finances.

The difficult part is that I don’t want to destroy the family relationship or create major drama. Ideally I just want my name removed properly and to distance myself from anything I’m not directly involved in.

What’s the safest way to approach this without the involvement of HMRC?

Also, how do people usually handle this kind of situation within families without it turning into a huge fallout?

Thanks.

The solicitor has said she has finished the Review and sign off stage. and now she is she noted the mortgage offer doesn't include the gift which she will communicate with the lender and said this could take 2-3 days.

Then she also said to provide the bank statements that has covers her fees - My partner has done this as he is the main contributor.

She also requested for payslips and my payslips show inconsistencies like change of job - Prior to mortgage acceptance I had a stable job etc - However, I do have answers to any queries and questions as I entered a role, didnt like it immediately was offered permemant contract employment.

This is the current stage I am at. I really want this to be done and over with !! Do the solicitors also want the same? they take so long to respond! it fills me with anxiety!
