I went to The Fabric Store, Fabric Lab and Draper's today in Melbourne. I've been buying lawn & organic cotton jersey at Spotlight. Some 30% to 40% off, some $8 a meter. Mainly bright floral prints. And I was preparing to be blown away by the quality difference at the other stores but I just wasn't. The prints were meh, but even if they were ok, it didn't seem worth more than double the price. Is this something I'll come to appreciate more as I become more experienced with sewing? Or are there others out there who think Spotlight is actually fine for lawn, poplin and cotton jersey?
