My mum has stage 4 breast cancer and I don’t know how to cope with the news that she’s stopping meds

She’s had breast cancer for 6 years now. Shes 41 and she’s really a kicker, she has it in her brain lung and liver. Shes recently made the decision to stop all medication other than steroids, no more chemo or radiotherapy. I’m 17 and my sister is 11. Anyone have any suggestions to help me/her cope during the times which are coming soon. I just want to make sure I can prepare myself as she has told me she has only 6 months left maximum.

My mum has had breast cancer for 6 years. Shes finally stopped the meds.

Tough subject, my mother was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, she was then cured in 2022. However in 2023 she was then found with secondary cancer in her lung liver and brain. She has been on medication since then with many close calls in hospital honestly. She’s just made the decision to go off the meds and just stay on steroids. Doctors are saying 6 months maximum, I always knew this day was coming relatively soon. After hearing this first hand from her it’s when it really hit. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get support for when it does happen as not going to lie I’m scared. I’m 17 and I’ve also got a sister who is 10 and she will be the most devastated in the world about this. Just honestly looking for coping advice and/or any sort of hope that anyone may know.

We don’t mind apartments etc. she’s fully fluent in polish and I’m English. We would also prefer to stay in old town. If any locals or people who have traveled to Krakow before do yous have any suggestions?
