Delivery is already over a month later than in the contract. After the dealer ghosted me for weeks, last Friday, they gave me a date at the end of May for delivery. Imagine my surprise when they asked for the full deposit to be paid today (this Monday), and failed to confirm the status of the car or revised delivery date- their response is below

"starting from this final payment, it takes approximately 20 days to complete the plating (registration) of the car, liquidating of the loan, carry out the necessary checks, and proceed with the delivery."

Aren't dealerships meant to have working capital for these steps? Am I being paranoid? Is it usual for payment to be requested without a delivery date? What have your experiences been?
