So I’ve got a performance meeting tomorrow morning and I’m trying to read the situation a bit.

I didn’t agree with my ratings, but at the same time… I’m not really losing sleep over it. I was already planning to move on soon anyway.

What’s throwing me off is that it’s just with one person. From what I’ve seen, the more serious “talent/HR” conversations usually have a couple people involved, so I don’t know if this is just a normal check-in or something more.

For context:

Manager for ~4 years, came from 15 yrs in Financial Services, and have never had such a poor review in my career. Sit in GPS, but haven’t worked a GPS project in over 2 years.

Client: below

Leadership: below

Marketplace: meets

If this is heading toward an exit, do companies usually still offer severance in this kind of situation? Or is that more tied to formal HR-led conversations?

Not stressed, just trying to go in with my eyes open. Curious if anyone’s been in something similar and how it played out.
