Basically what the title says. Intellectually I know anything is more likely than a man coming back from the dead, but I do still overthink quite a bit regarding this.

So am I mistaken or is this our best bet? Is this something remotely likely or just more likely than a resurrection, theft of the body, or mythicism?

Is it also plausible that Paul would only have one major hallucinatory experience in his life if this is the case? To my knowledge he doesn’t record such a thing happening again.

So is there an alternative hypothesis that I’m overlooking or do we probably have to grant Paul and the disciples both hallucinated in independent locations and circumstances?
