I am a new store manager and corporate has been doing all my hiring as I am short staffed. They have not included me in the hiring process at all or tell me anything about starting dates or who will be joining my team. The first round of hiring only 1/3 employees worked out. one was a terrible fit and lazy and one ghosted us. the third worked out great and he is a great asset to the team.
We are on the second round of hiring and again I was not included in the hiring process. When I asked the corporate lead how many people she would be hiring for my team she said “Wouldn’t you like to know” and didn’t give me a definitive answer.
I had an alleged new employee show up to my store today asking me to confirm her start date which I was not able to answer because there was no communication to me about who my staff would be joining the team or when they would start. why would they operate like this? Is this something I can talk to HR about or would it not make a difference? Last time I spoke to HR their communication to him was also lacking. What can I do Here?
