New Radio yelow constant and pink acc Wiring Issue, Nissan Pathfinder
Hello everyone.
Hopefully some one can shed some light with this wiring issue.
I'm having wiring issues trying to install a new android radio on my 2014 pathfinder. The issue is that the yellow and pink wire (see attached wiring diagram) only see 12V+ when the OEM radio is installed but when I take the OEM stereo out of the OEM harness the yellow wire no longer has 12V+ (with the car on or off) and the pink wire no longer has 12V+ (with the car on).
This is puzzling to me because how in the world is the OEM radio drawing current from the yellow and pink wire only when is connected to the harness but the two wires die when I unhooked the radio out of the harness?
When I connect the new radio, the yellow and the pink wire are completely death with the car on or off. Also I can't not get any sound from the speakers when I connect them directly to the new radio and the new radio powered with a wire directly from the battery.
To summarise:
-OEM radio works perfect, Yellow and Pink Wire are live (Test 12V+ with a multimeter) when the OEM radio is hooked to the OEM harness
-OEM radio unhooked from the OEM harness, the Yellow and Pink wire die (measure 0V with multimeter)
-New Radio cannot be powered using these two wires, wires are completly death with car on or off (wires measure 0V using a multimeter)
-I checked all the fuses, they are all good
-I powered the new radio using the car battery and new radio works
How can I get the yellow wire to be constant 12V+ and pink wire be 12V+ when the car is turned on when these wires only go live when the OEM radio is hooked?
