What are your favorite simple activities for helping 2–3 year olds learn through everyday play?

I’m trying to keep the ideas really practical - things I can do at home, outside, during routines, or with common household items. But not the obvious "look outside the window and name the cars driving by" lol. I feel like so many moms are so creative, and i need new ideas.

I’d love to hear:

  • activities your toddler loves
  • easy games that build language or attention
  • sensory or movement ideas
  • little connection rituals or interactive moments that work well

Anything playful, simple, and relationship-based would be amazing.

What do you wish you and your partner had talked about before having a baby?

If you’re comfortable sharing, what’s something you wish you and your partner had discussed before your baby was born?

Give me the specifics!
