Please help me decide btwn Umich and USFCA for nursing

Context: From Oregon, queer man, going into nursing, want a very progressive area but also want a place that will help me land an ICU job and eventually get into CRNA school...

UMICH
Pro

  • Generally like the vibe of the place
  • Seems pretty queer friendly not as much as SF though? also idk how many alt ppl are there
  • The admitted students day emphasized u can do research/intership or get a minor--may be good for resume
  • Higher ranked (#6, USF is #22)

Con

  • Very cold, snows
  • Not sure if I would land an ICU job, UMich isnt as good for nurses
  • I might want to live in CA/west later in life...

USFCA
Pro

  • Very queer friendly
  • Made a couple connections through IG - theres alot of ppl there i can relate to and vibe with
  • CA is a greatt place for nurses (unions etc) if i get a job in CA (may be more likely to get in than applying from outside state)

Con

  • Close to home, kind of want to get out a little
  • Might be “toxic”? Heard this nursing program can be
  • California is very competitive so I might have to move out of state for ICU job
  • Not as prestigious or highly ranked–may affect job search?
