i joined this group and read up on some great suggestions!
i’ve had my fissure for about a month now- i’m going to see an MD this week. 2 weeks ago, I started miralax and it helped so much in just 3 days!! it felt like i was finally healing.
I believe I started off an half cap in the morning then another half cap in the afternoon/evening. that was going well for me. for some reason, it felt like the fissure was healing much longer than it really was. i guess i started to slack off with my miralax and fiber intake (i work nights so sometimes forgot to do either or) and 1 week and 6 days later, i bled again:(
my plan now is to make sure im on top of my miralax for at least several months, along with my water intake and fiber. for those of you that have weaned off of miralax, what foods/other tips have helped you keep your BMs soft enough that you do not reopen the fissure?
