Hi. I just joined Tesco and have only been working for a couple weeks now. I go to university and told my manager that I was planning on taking a gap year from September in my interview. This is not true. I said this because I saw his face change when I told him I go to university and he said he was confused as to how that would work. However, I really needed this job for the summer and want to transfer to a new store when I go back for university, so I thought it was best to just lie to ensure they hired me
How long should I leave this before mentioning to him that my plans have changed and that I am going back to uni. I don’t want to be left in a position where I have to leave in September because I left it too long, but I also don’t want to tell him now because it’s only been a couple weeks lol. Also, if I can’t get a transfer is it possible to just become a seasonal employee? Thanks a lot
