Im flying Manchester-Shanghai-Tokyo next week. On my third party, it's saying checked baggage is unavailable, despite it saying I would have it when I booked. From what I've seen around, however, it seems everybody is saying they were allowed at least 1x23 checked luggage.

Since I can't manage the booking on their awful website, has anybody flown this route and not been allowed checked luggage? If you haven't, what was the cost for bringing it? Im considering going carry on only, but I'm hearing the limit is 5kg, which is a little low for my liking.

Please let me know your experiences; it's hard to find much about this route at all.
