Feeling a bit discouraged after Reiki level 1 course

Hey guys, I need some perspective on a very intense experience I had during my Level 1 Reiki course.🥹

My initial attunement was incredibly emotional. The moment the Master’s hands were above mine, I felt a rush of freezing cold wind through my palms. It triggered an immediate, deep sobbing—it felt like a past-life memory or a long-lost ability finally returning to me.

However, when it came time to practice on other students, things got difficult. My left hand, especially my pinky finger, started twitching and shaking uncontrollably. My hands also got sweaty and the existing blockages in my own body began to ache intensely—specifically a sharp pain in my spine and my liver area (I’m a student of TCM, so I recognized the Liver blockage immediately).

When the Reiki Master and her assistant saw my shaking and physical reaction, they kept repeating that I was "ungrounded." They told me I need to be more grounded to be a "good vessel" for Reiki. Honestly, hearing that repeatedly made me feel horrible and discouraged, like I wasn’t made for this or that my natural reaction was a failure.

Has anyone else had a "high-voltage" reaction like this? Is the shaking and pain a sign that I’m doing something wrong? Would love to know more.

Reiki attunement opinions!

Hello guys!!🪷

I got my first ever attunement today and I would like to know more about my experience from your pov.

During the attunement, visually I was seeing a lot of purple orbs very bright and also the color white. The reiki master then opened both of my hands and placed her hand above mine and I felt such a strong and powerful cold wind I started weeping. In my heart all I could think about was a past life memory a feeling of oh I have this back.

After the ritual, the master sat me down and told me she had a vision of a beautiful Chinese/Japanese woman in traditional clothes and the woman was saying something along the lines of “ you are a star in a dark sky, you shine your light above the world to guide” at first I thought it was my Ancestors but then the master said Asian and in this life I come from a Balkan country but always felt such a deep connection to Asia and I’m currently living in Vietnam. Is it common to get that cold wind on the palms of your hand so strongly? I would love to hear any opinions on my experienc, thank you!!!
