Realme air 6 full review

**Realme Air 6 (vs Air 6 Pro at the end)**

Test conducted with ANC enabled, in AAC mode (no LHDC on my phone) — although enabling it in the Realme Link app gives me a noticeably better sound (placebo), Dynamic Bass set to zero as it distorts the sound otherwise, EQ mode set to normal. I only tested it for the music I listen to: melodic progressive trance from the mid-90s to 2000s, which is a very demanding genre in terms of sound quality, focused on bass and mids.

**Comfort:** Very good — you quickly forget you're wearing them, they seal well, don't fall out, and are very lightweight.

**ANC:** Average to good.

**EQ settings: Poweramp**

Preamp -5

40Hz +1.5

73Hz +5.8

135Hz +3.6

240Hz +0.1

440Hz +2.6

800Hz +4.4

1.5K +4.6

2.7K +5.3

4.8K +4.9

8.8K +2.3

16K -5.6

Bass 0%

Treble +27%

**Sub-bass:** Possibly a bit too rolled off and uneven — doesn't bleed but not present enough to properly assess.

**Bass:** Not very present, very fuzzy and diluted. Bleeds noticeably into the rest of the spectrum after a bass boost. Obvious lack of definition.

**Mid-bass:** Detailed, slightly metallic but not unpleasant, with a bit of grain. Individual notes are clearly distinguishable. Stereo width noticeably wider than the head.

**Kick:** Punchy and round rather than impactful, tends to linger more than it should, yet still tight without being dry. Slightly lacking in impact. I get the impression of an incomplete but pleasant impact.

**Clap:** Nice and crisp, impactful, slightly fatiguing.

**Pads/layers:** After EQ, they are present but feel slightly veiled. Sound is fairly forward-facing with a bit of width.

**Hi-hats:** Not too bad but fairly metallic, so they can become fatiguing — nothing deal-breaking, though for some this may quickly become irritating. I think it's partially correctable with EQ but at the expense of the synths — an unavoidable trade-off.

**Lead synths:** Present, perhaps slightly less full-bodied, also with a fairly forward sound and a slightly metallic edge, though not excessive here either. Lack of definition and detail on complex tracks — for example on Airbase's *Genie* and *Universal*.

**Vocals:** Reasonably well reproduced and wider than the head, but with a perceptible DSP processing artifact — a tendency toward a "sssshhhh" at the end of notes, like air but metallic, without being excessive.

**Instrument separation:** Average. Somewhat of a "wall of sound" feel, but not completely glued together. Lacks airiness.

**Soundstage:** I'd say you get the sensation of sound extending across roughly 160 degrees, which gives the impression of a more forward-facing than sideways sound.

The in-ear seal is crucial to move from a fairly thin sound to a much fuller one, with an emphasis on low frequencies.

**Sound verdict:**

Engaging, fun and fairly immersive sound that can genuinely bring out strong emotions. The sound can get very loud without becoming excessive and holds up well at very high volumes. There is good mid-bass presence, but bass is somewhat fuzzy and sub-bass fairly rolled off. Impact is slightly smoothed but still perceptible. Mids are full but slightly recessed and veiled — sometimes emotional, sometimes lifeless depending on the track. Upper mids are similar, though slightly metallic. Treble is a bit fatiguing, especially on hi-hats. Soundstage is average to wide without being fully out-of-head, and instrument separation varies depending on how busy the track is.

**Tracks listened to during the test (FLAC):**

- Push – Universal Nation

- Extreme Trax – Final Fantasy

- Cygnus X – The Orange Theme (De Groet's remix)

- Airbase – Sinister

- Airbase – Genie

---

**Comparison with Realme Air 6 Pro in LDAC**

The Air 6 Pro has slightly more sub-bass; the bass is similar though a bit less fuzzy; the kick is more impactful and faster but slightly less full, equally deep.

The mids are less recessed and more natural. More detailed and clearer after EQ.

The upper mids retain a slight metallic tone but are less fatiguing.

The treble is equally fatiguing, though slightly more defined and natural. Hi-hats sound precise but a touch sibilant.

The soundstage is much wider and more immersive, without quite reaching the highest level. The sound is more "wow" but slightly less warm — especially in LDAC, which reveals details in an impressive way but slightly smooths the stereo image, making it marginally less dynamic, to the slight detriment of kick impact. Spatial audio mode is impressive but strips away even more detail and definition, adding a reverb that feels a bit too heavy-handed — perfect for films, less so for electronic music. Here too, Dynamic Bass is out of the question as it distorts the sound too much.

Instrument separation is good to very good, especially in LDAC.

Realme air 6 pro vs realme air 8 vs Redmi buds 6 pro

Hi,

Which TWS earbuds would you recommend for trance or melodic electronic music?

I'm looking for an immersive club-like sound with punchy, well-defined kicks and sharp, articulate leads, controlled but substantial sub-bass and mid-bass, clean upper-bass/lower-midrange with no muddiness, and smooth, non-fatiguing treble extension. Good transient response, instrument separation, and a wide, airy soundstage are also high on my list.

I'd appreciate some help making the right call.

I really like the tuning of the Air 6 Pro overall, but find the bass a bit lean — it lacks low-end weight and rumble.

Edm, trance, goa, psytrance tws - Realme air 6 pro, Redmi buds 6 pro ldac or realme air 8 aac ?

Hi,

Which do you recommend for trance music or Electronic melodic music, please ?

I want : immersive clubby sound with defined kick and leads, good and bass, not bloomy, clear midbass and natural highs. A good instruments separation and a large stereo field.

Help me to make the good choice.

I really enjoy the sound of the air 6 pro but I am a little bit disappointed with the low end which is a little bit flat.

KARMACID

7 tracks of pure Acid Goa Trance.

Karmacid is the result of many long nights pushing the limits of the studio. This album is a bridge between the spiritual energy of the 90s and the raw power of modern sound design.

The Power of Seven: This album is structured around the number 7—the seeker’s number. From the 7 chakras to the 7 stages of internal transformation, these 7 tracks are designed as a complete cycle to dissolve the ego.

The journey is built around long-form storytelling—featuring the main 11-minute track—where screaming TB-303 lines meet the complex textures of Serum, Pigments, and MiniFreak, backed by the massive presence of Nexus, Predator, and precision filtering. It’s about that specific point where digital precision meets the grit of the old school.

Everything is delivered in full WAV quality to ensure that every resonance and every atmospheric layer hits with maximum impact.

Support Arpeja: By purchasing this album, you are directly supporting my work and helping me keep the studio running for future productions. Every contribution allows me to spend more time crafting these sounds.

Turn it up, lose track of time, and let the karma dissolve.

Arpeja - SOMA (remix 2026) new intro

ARPEJA – “SOMA” (136 BPM)

Goa Trance | 2026 Modern Remix

Forget the math, feel the frequency.

SOMA returns in a powerful new version. This remix bridges the gap between Old School Goa soul and cutting-edge sonic engineering—featuring redesigned dynamics, crystal-clear spatial imaging, and bass weight calibrated for today’s sound systems.

🧿 THE CONCEPT: SOMA vs. TRANCE

The title is a direct nod to Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World.

In Huxley’s dystopia, Soma is a state-issued drug used to:

Numb the soul and erase emotional depth.

Enforce stability through synthetic bliss.

Silence the human urge for freedom and truth.

This track is the antidote. Where Huxley’s Soma puts the mind to sleep, this music aims to wake it up. This remix utilizes advanced production techniques—surgical 303 acid lines and immersive soundscapes—to create a journey through sensation. We don't numb the pain; we transcend it through the frequency of the dancefloor.

"All the advantages of Christianity and alcohol; none of their defects." — Aldous Huxley.

We choose the Trance instead.

🎹 SOUND SCAPE & INFLUENCES

A tribute to the pioneers, upgraded with modern clarity. A perfect balance between sunrise melodic complexity and deep-night intensity.

For fans of: Filteria, Khetzal, E-Mantra, Mindsphere, Ra, Chi‑A.D., Astral Projection.
