no real idea how to start this... i'm 18, trans man, and i've been having weirdly long periods for a few years now. used to be normal 5 days, then a year ago i had one that was 12 days long followed by one that was 19 days long, and after those two i had regular periods that were 7 days long, with far worse symptoms than before. was send to a gyno who ordered one blood test to check hormones, didn't find anything, and told me to go on the pill. this was when i was 17.

i dithered for a bit because i was indimitated by all the side effects of the pill, but i finally started it last winter. i wasn't happy with the first pill my gp put me on because i was having breakthrough bleeds so i requested it be changed to a new one (ovreena). normal for about a week, then i started bleeding. and it just hasn't stopped.

i have been to my gp, she thought it might be chlamidya but an sti screen came back clean. i have no idea what to do. i want a referral to a different gyno, but i want to go in with some sort of idea about what i might have. my gp has reccommended that i don't go off the pill. has anyone experienced anything similar and might be able to offer advice? sorry for long and rambling post but i am very scared
