I 32F have been talking to my boyfriend 32M for about 10 months now. We talked for around 2 months before becoming official, and we’ve been in a relationship for the past 8 months.
We’re long distance (different states), and in total we’ve only met 3 times. The last time we saw each other was in December 2025.
In the beginning, communication was really good. We texted every day, had regular phone calls, and overall things felt consistent and balanced. He also knew from the start that I can’t travel to visit him because of family reasons, and he said he understood that.
Over the past two months, things have changed a lot. He’s been really busy and stressed with work and studying, which I do understand, but his communication has dropped. We still text daily, but he takes much longer to reply, and our phone calls have gone down to maybe 2–3 times a week.
He’s also said a few times that he’ll come visit me “soon,” but nothing has actually been planned or followed through.
I’ve brought this up to him, and he apologizes and says he knows he’s not doing enough and that he’s trying. But from my perspective, not much has really changed, and I’m starting to feel frustrated and a bit disconnected.
I’m trying to be understanding because I know he’s under pressure right now, but at the same time, this is a long-distance relationship and communication is really important to me especially since we don’t see each other often.
I don’t know if this is just a temporary phase because of stress, or if it’s a sign that something is off.
Am I overreacting for feeling this way, or expecting too much here?
I got a job offer with the max salary for the role!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you everyone for the Support!!
I had an interview with an HR rep last week and she scheduled me for an in person interview with the hiring manager today.
I used to volunteer there so the hiring manager already knew me. The interview went really smoothly, he asked me some questions and we also talked a bit about other staff outside of the interview. I asked a few questions at the end too.
He told me that everyone liked me as a volunteer and that I had a good reputation. He said he would like me to be on the team and even mentioned another opportunity there. He also asked if I would be interested in another role on the team as well. He said based on my experience he would try to get my salary a bit higher.
He mentioned that I am the first candidate he has interviewed so far and that he has a few more interviews scheduled. He said they will get back to me in 2 to 3 weeks.
Does this sound like a good sign I am honestly nervous.
I recently moved to MN and have healthcare experience from my home country. I've been applying to jobs for the past 2-3 months but haven't had much luck so far. Does anyone know of places that are hiring? I really need work and would appreciate any leads.
