I had some extra leather and elastic from some other travelers style covers so I made a leather fold for my 2 field notes I carry everyday at work. It's the perfect solution for me. Keeps everything together and keeps my pages from coming loose. I've noticed that with just a nekkid book in my back pocket. When I sit the motion was tearing the first pages out because of the movement. Problem solved!

This is my version of a passport TN. I made this because I have a hard time with the knot being in the middle of the back flap. Other then the leather and the cord that holds it closed, these are all Traveler's Company products. Let me know what you think!
