I prefer graph style paper on my FN, changing from reticle to dot-grid.
Always copying over to-do lists from previous book.
Sticker collection in the back (just about anything), stickers on cover as events occur.
I‘ll most likely be using the Mile Marker on July 4th, so I figured this edition was perfect for the 250th.
It is the perfect size to hold cards, cash, my FN and a pencil. My phone also fits inside. This is the kit from Hobby Lobby. I stitched it up over a few days.
Finished my notebook in just over a month! Getting through these quicker now days!
I decided to make Earth Day notebook covers using some awesome NASA imagery. The river delta design was from Earth Day 2020 and the Earthrise picture/quote is from this year with Artemis II!
I’ll put some Rhodia dot grid put inside of these beauties on Friday.

First Field Notes finished! I’ve been keeping a pocket notebook for a year now, but kinda dropped out of the habit after I chose a super uncomfortable notebook for myself and haven’t even noticed how it limited me. That’s until I was gifted a knockoff version of Field Notes. I became obsessed and knew I’m gonna continue with original ones. And here I am, some time later, finishing my first one and getting fancy with cute covers! Yay!
Happy staple day all. I felt like providing a short review of this prototype GTB 2.0 sleeve from Boss Leather Co. I have been in the search for the right single FN cover. Typically, I carry 3-4 different pens on me for work note taking along with my FN for daily brain dumps etc. so this checked the boxes for me. Tight clearances at first but it's already starting to wear in just right with retention from only a few days of use. Leather quality is exceptional. Excited to see how this patina's and molds the next few years.
And yes, I'm at work taking a quick break, brain dump, and to enjoy Chicago views from the Sears tower.
Start using more field note so I ordered from USPS. Delivered in 1-3 days. All notes are drid and each front page has stamp on it. So cute

I am trying to get my hands on some older books (singles or sealed…no preference). I have a lot from FNC-39 and on, so looking for earlier than that. I know they get pretty pricey/harder to find the older they get but I just enjoy collecting/using them and figured it doesn’t hurt to throw it out there! Let me know if you have anything you are willing to trade.

Are you guys carrying your Fieldnotes directly in your pocket or in some type of cover/pouch/bag? BTW, I am male and don't usually carry any sort of bag. I just use my pockets but also don't want to damage my notebooks beyond use.
Laser printers and metallic paper don’t mix 😂
Any suggestions for a printer that gives good quality prints on heavier or metallic papers? I’m hoping my local maker space has a decent printer I could use for this.
I’m going for the Mercury-era spacesuit vibe here, hence the metallic silver.
I was curious about using a reporter's notebook and then I saw these and had to get them! I'm pretty excited, have you guys tried them before? Any tips or observations?
