AITA? Moving in after Slobs and Junking their Family Keepsakes.

My boyfriend and I got the go ahead to rent this place from a family friend after the landlord kinda screwed us over in the first place just to be screwed 10 fold in return.
So my boyfriend and I got a place and previously we were about to move in when the landlord let a family move in instead due to also being a “family friend” and after 3 years the house is garbage.
So we finally heard the place was available again and immediately before we saw the place heard horror stories about the tenants who were moved in instead of us about 3 years ago. They lived rent free for those 3 years and this last week the owner finally agreed to rent it out again as the place needs a SEVERE clean. I’m talking dog/cat pee and crap EVERYWHERE, along with buckets of toilet paper covered in human feces and piss. Landlord had to turn the power off to finally evict them, they stayed for another 2 months after no electricity or water. It’s been a few months since they actually moved and if i’m correct all their shit is no longer their’s legally. They never legally lived there and they haven’t for a couple months, so technically they forfeit all of their junk they left. Not gonna lie they are lucky my boyfriend didn’t dump all of their trash and junk on their new front doorstep because it is ridiculous how bad that home looks and how they treated the landlord who paid for them to live for years.
But to the point- AITA for tossing the sentiments (photo albums, trifold flag [we’d retire it] and other sentimental items) if they don’t come pick it up or respond to my offer of delivering them to their new residence and ending up tossing it ?? They have until the end of the day today to pick up vehicles left, (no titles either, we will scrap them and get our $$ worth from cleaning their mess) and grab their things from the garage. The house items have been forfeited and removed other than what i salvaged. Anything inside will be trashed no matter what they say as they left their 2 dogs and 1 cat there for 2 months after they finally left to maybe stop by once a day for 12 max minutes and throw food on the piss and shit stained floor.

**I did make the effort while cleaning to make sure to separate keepsakes of sorts if they did ever come back to pick their junk up. They’ve had 5 months to grab their things already and gtfo. They’ve been doing it since 2008 apparently. The landlord is in his 80’s with a wife that needs intensive care, this kind of cleaning would be expensive or back-breaking for him.
Any sealed/canned pantry food they left will be externally washed and donated to the local food shelter as well. Sadly had to toss everything else as it was just exposed to airborne chemicals that i wouldn’t feel comfortable giving to anybody.
