So i got these brahma chicks kinda by mistake when I got some silkies from farm and home. I thought it said assorted BANTAMS but apparently (after going back a week later when they were three times the size of the silkies and realizing something wasnt quite right) it said assorted BRAHMAS. Oops. But I digress. So i had them all in the same brooder and started realizing that one of the brahma was more in line with the silkies in size and just took mental note of it but assumed she was just a slow grower or just gunna be little. Point being she wasnt able to elbow her way into the chick pile to get food as easily as the other two brahma so I took the two big ones out to let the silkies and her eat without getting pushed around and thats when I noticed her rear end was very swollen and was completely (like oddly) clean and she wouldnt stop peeping and didnt seem to br able to poop so I thought maybe she just hadn't been getting enough food and water trying to fight her way in so I took her out and kept her by herself and let her eat and drink to her hearts content.. well she drank so much that it started coming back out of her mouth. So I took that away and saw her vent area was pulsing and when I started to feel it I felt a very hard ball that kinda felt like little rocks but it was surrounded by this soft squishy tissue around it that when I mashed around on it almost felt like little bubbles pooping throughout it. So I decided to soak her and see if she was just constipated. Well I did and she pooped a little bit of what looked like fairly normal poop. But was still crying and pulsing so I put honey all over the area and right inside the edges of her vent and wrapped her in a towel in a warm dark area for a few hours. When I got back up and checked on her she had pooped some more of what looked fairly normal but still had this same ball and squishy tissue. That was the say before yesterday. I soaked her again yesterday and again a few minutes ago hints why she is wet in the pictures. At this point she doesn't want to walk much and when she does its like a waddle. And its breaking my heart to listen to her try and poop. But the ball is still there andnit seems like the squishy tissue drea is just getting bigger and more squishy. But the thing is she is still eating and her crop empties but I dont ever see her poop. I just soaked her again as I said and she is wrapped in a towel in a warm dark place etc but as im writing this I can hear her having gone from the normal distressed steady peep to the prep they do when they are actively trying to poop and cant which I kinda feel like is a good thing in a way because its the most indication uve gotten that there may be some movement and she is again trying to get it out. This all being said I dont know what to do from here and I dont really know what's wrong. Ive dealt with a plugged up chick before but never with all the squishy around it. It's so sad because she is such a sweet little chick.. it's always the sweetest ones that end up having these issues andni just want her to be okay :(
as a side note if it helps anyone figure out what is wrong this doesn't seem to be an issue any of the other chicks from her group of chicks or the other two group of chicks I have are having. One group is her the other two brahmas and six silkies, then a group of six assorted bantam chicks roughly 3 weeks old and then a group of what was 25 silkie chicks I hatched over the past week rhat we are now down to 6 of as the others have been sold. None of any of them are having this problem (point being) so I dont think its spreading or something in their food etc.
Sorry for the long post of seemingly unimportant info. I just want to be able to be as accurate as possible so hopefully someone more chicky wise than I can help this little one. We thank you kindly
