Embroidering Korean artifacts from 500 years ago.

Today, I have embroidered the 'Jujak-gi' (the Vermilion Bird Flag), which guarded the southern side of military camps during the Joseon Dynasty 500 years ago, along with the 'Dokkaebi (Goblin) Eyes' series, inspired by the grotesque Gwinmyeon (monster face) motifs found in Buddhist temples.

It is important to note that the Dokkaebi is distinct from the Japanese Oni.

The Korean Dokkaebi is a much more humorous and friendly being compared to the Japanese Oni.
