Today I had my virtual interview with United Airlines and honestly, it didn’t go too bad. I really couldn’t read my recruiter. However, every time I smiled, he would smile and he wasn’t necessarily rude or mean he was just pretty bland in the beginning. I made sure I smiled, and I was very nervous. However, I did answer all the questions confidently. He did not ask me to tell him about myself however, he did ask me why I wanted it to be a flight attendant when I explained to him why he did have a certain look on his face it almost look like he was interested in what I was saying so I did take that as “I’m doing good”
He also asked me about tattoos and my passport thankfully I don’t have any tattoos so I was good and my passport doesn’t expire until five years so I’m good on that part too.
Next, he asked me 4 situational questions. The questions were not simple. They were worded very weirdly so just ask them to repeat the question again if you need because they can be quite confusing.
But basically, the questions that I got were
-Tell us about a time you provided excellent customer service
-Tell me about a time you had to work under pressure or handle multiple tasks at once.
-tell us a time where company standards conflicted with your own? (You had your own opinion about policy but still followed company policy)
-Describe a time when you had to work as part of a team to accomplish something.
When answering the questions, the recruiter did ask me to be extremely specific about the type of person I was dealing with if I was dealing with a person, especially if they were a coworker or a customer. He wanted me to state if it was a he she older younger that type of detail.
Other than that, he was really nice. Please wish me luck. My advice would be to make sure that you answered those questions with a very good description and make sure that you have your star format in all of your stories not everyone is gonna get asked the same questions but hopefully you got the same ones as mines. Remember they are not worded like that so please listen carefully when he is or she is telling you these questions.
