Our family is going to HNL in October, we purchased first class tickets on the 787-9 Dreamliner for our return. We have to go back to east coast so we wanted to be able to get some rest for a few hours and it’s a 30 anniversary trip, so we decided to spurge! We booked in January of this year, my son happened to notice when he was doing a mock booking that there was an aircraft change to HAA330-200. We went to check our apps and my husband and I were rebooked on a flight without lie flat seats with a different connecting city, there were no lie flat seats left on our original booked flight. I called and they said that it wasn’t an aircraft change but “schedule change”. We were rebooked onto a 737-900 flight which clearly is a lesser first class product than the 787-9 DL, and they are offering no compensation. The sad part is that our boys flights stayed on the HA330-200 flight 🤦🏻‍♀️. They didn’t rebook us all together, even though our flights were linked. Any suggestions or do we have no choice but to take the regular first class seats with no type of compensation!?!
