trustworthy mechanic recommendations?
does anyone know any trustworthy mechanics in the slc/west valley/taylorsville or surrounding areas that won’t try to push unnecessary or more expensive than needed fixes on me? my check engine light came on right when I was about to get my emissions done this month and now I can’t get them done until the light is off.
I just want to know what’s wrong and the simplest and cheapest solution without having to worry i’m being scammed since i don’t know anything about cars🥲 i planned to sell off this car anyways, but i want to fix whatever is causing the check engine light first.
i have a list of codes that my car gave, but i didn’t want to get my car fixed at the shop that gave them to me and i’m not sure which one is causing the light. they weren’t very helpful😭
any advice and recommendations would be very appreciated!
