I’m having a problem with a specific SoundCloud track. When I try to play it, the track becomes greyed out and I get the error message: “There was a problem playing this track.”
The strange part is that this same track worked perfectly about 3 days ago. Now it doesn’t play at all. SoundCloud doesn’t show any clear reason — it doesn’t say whether the track is region-blocked, deleted, private, restricted, or unavailable.
I’ve already tried:
- different VPN locations
- turning VPN off
- refreshing the page
- using a different browser
- clearing cache/cookies
- checking from another device
Nothing helped.
Does anyone know what this error usually means on SoundCloud? Could it be a regional
restriction, copyright takedown, account issue, or something on SoundCloud’s side?
