Was originally rectangular during Prophet Muhammad's time and it was turned into a cube after the Ummayads defeated Zubayr.

How come the Prophet Muhammad pbuh didn't remove the Black Stone idol from the House?
All the idols were destroyed and the house was cleansed. But why keep the black stone idol on the corner.
