Craftsman Garden Tractor 54" 26hp Kohler Engine Model 247.204470

Hello, Any help would be appreciated. As I was going in to some moderate scrub, it would appear that a stick got under the hood and pulled out a green and red wire from somewhere at the back of the engine.

The two wires were in a wire loom together and were long enough to go up towards the key, PTO and safety but I don't actually see anything not connected up there.

Mower doesn't run, start nor does the hour display illuminate. Acts like a dead battery but the week old battery has plenty of charge. Craftsman/MTD left their cables in an orderly rats nest and the red and green wire ends that are still connected come from two different places.
