Hi there, I’ve been with my boyfriend for 3 years. We’re 22 and he works a blue collar job, and I’m pre law, studying for the LSAT. I feel like he doesn’t make time for me. We live abt 20-30 mins away, and I just feel like he’s constantly making excuses to leave when we’re together or making plans.
For example, this weekend is our 3 year anniversary (booked in advance to do a staycation at a cottage close by). We’re both east asian so our parents still act weird abt us going out too often LOL. So we decided that we’d hang out for our anniversary earlier this week and then see eachother on the weekend because of work etc. we were gonna maybe see eachother Thursday but then he said his mom got sus about our earlier plan, and that he excuse was that I was busy later in the week so he hung out w me earlier. As such, he cancelled on Thursday.
However, today we found out that he’s getting off work early Friday (3 hours earlier than anticipated) and when I asked him to come see me for a bit, he kinda jusr avoided it.
We see eachother like 2-3 times a week. I know I should be focusing on my LSAT etc but this just leaves me feeling unwanted. It makes me feel like the relationship is not equal. I hate bringing this stuff up cuz I’m quite vocal abt any emotion or issue that arises, so I just feel naggy every time I bring anything up. I’m so sensitive LOL. Sometimes when we are tg he’ll make excuses like “I have to go to the washroom (#2 lol)” so he has to go home .
What do you guys think? Is he just not interested anymore?
Otherwise we’re pretty good. He’s supportive, kind, and understanding. I just feel like we haven’t been seeing eye to eye about this recently. It’s been feeling one sided.
