After a year of "unexplained" infertility, I finally got answers: a prolactinoma and Hashimoto’s. It felt like my body had the emergency brake on. I spent the last year on meds and lifestyle changes, and my levels are finally stable!

Now I’m on month 6 of trying with good labs. My doctor said high prolactin mimics nursing (blocking ovulation) and Hashimoto’s drains the "battery" of the whole system. It’s a lot to manage, but I’m trying to stay positive now that the "heavy lifting" of stabilizing my TSH and prolactin is done.

Has anyone else dealt with this specific combo? Could I get pregnant?

I knew something was off after I gained 60 lbs in just a short amount of time and tried losing it but kept gaining weight almost felt like I was a balloon about to pop. I of course wasn’t able to lose weight for my wedding and when my husband and I were trying to conceive we couldn’t and then I found out my Tsh levels were high, prolactin levels were high, antibodies showed me I had hashimotos. It was all so new to me and honestly still is. I hate that my endocrinologist did not give me ANY information about hashimotos all she told me was that I had it based on my levels. I had to do all this research on my own. We need to have more information given to us it’s so terrible. I’ve been noticing weight changes finally but honestly upset that I felt so ugly looking at pictures during my wedding. I feel for everyone going through this it’s very draining and hard to go through but know there’s hope at the end of the tunnel.

If anyone has tips on going through hashimotos and what they do to help with it that would be so great! Do you feel so tired and fatigued when you notice a flare up? Also how do you know when you first got hashimotos? Sometimes I wish I knew sooner!

Are you guys going gluten free and dairy free? I’ve been going gluten free. My husband and I are trying for a baby and it’s been a journey. I finally have my levels down for Tsh and prolactin but found out I have hashimotos I’ve been almost a year of going gluten free and trying to get my weight down. What has helped you guys? Any advice on getting more energy and help losing weight? I just feel so tired and drained and I know that’s from this.

I had a past with someone for years

We met young, he dropped out of school first semester and went back home but always called me, talked and visited at my school. He always got jealous and any guy that was with me and whenever my relationship changed they’d always confront me even with my guy friends. At one point they called me 15 times bc I left home and they came to visit admitting they loved me. I knew I needed to cut ties bc I was catching feelings. They told me it was fate we met and that we had our whole lives ahead of us. 5 years later visits, jealousy, constant contact. Then he came to my city and told me the exact amount of days it was since we met talked and saw each other last, he also proposed to me drunk. I told him we should try it out and he said it wouldn’t ever work bc we live in different cities. Fast forward I give him career advice he takes it down to the position. I move on and a year into my relationship I get a message from an escort asking for him, a year later I get engaged and received calls from no caller id right after.

I know this shouldn’t affect me but it does and now I have an autoimmune disease. It’s terrible and I don’t know what to do. My husband doesn’t deserve this version of myself.
