I woke up with a rash on my arm a few weeks ago and I just applied my normal rash cream (sudocrem, uk brand) to it as I would with any rash. I tend to get rashes a lot especially in spring, I think because of allergies.
Anyway, this rash then blistered and burst and few days later and my arm swelled. Since then I’ve been cleaning it with antiseptic everyday and keeping it covered and changing the gauze every 12 hours (every morning and every night). A yellowish puss and blood cover the gauze every time I take it off. The swelling keeps going up and down.
It is painful and im concerned that it is not healing. I can’t get an appointment with a GP for 3 weeks and my boyfriend is suggesting going to A&E but I don’t want to go to A&E with a surface wound and is not an emergency.
