Just started only a week ago and got put on DTO/window on my first day alone during peak :\ ik im new but i usually feel like a great worker (at previous jobs) bc i knew how to do my job. is there a timeline for yall when you felt like you knew what you were doing or at least getting a hang of things? im too stubborn to quit but im sure at some point if i dont get the hang of it ill know my limit ☠️

so i’m not sure if it’s just my store, the people i work with or just starbucks as a whole but i desperately need to talk abt my last shift.
my last shift was from 4:30-10:15 and scheduled as a “coverage/training” bc i literally have had training for one week now. i asked the person training me if my next shift was the one where i would be on my own and she said “no you’ll be doing some more modules.” but when i got to my shift i set up the display finished cold brew and then was put on driveway immediately which i was fine with ig but the thing i was not okay w was that they put me on drive thru during peak and expected me to take orders and do the drive thru when ive only ever practiced that once. it got super busy and our store is a very high volume store so someone had to come over and help out which they all had an attitude abt 🙂
idk like is it me but it’s insane how they expected so much out of me when ive only been there a week and then got mad when i couldn’t keep up. i’ve overheard different conversations and apparently the store keeps losing a lot of vets so they’re desperately hiring new ppl. is this a starbucks thing or is my store just ass LOL
also side note i wanted to quit but im super stubborn so im trying to see it through 🥴 if i should quit tho lmk
