AITA Mother’s Day edition
AITA Mother’s Day edition… my husband and I have been married a year and a half, together for 4.5 years, we have a 5 month old. It’s my first Mother’s Day and my husband didn’t get me anything, didn’t do anything out of the ordinary, he made me breakfast which i appreciate but that’s it. He has a pattern of telling me about what he’s gonna get me, and then acting as if that’s the same thing as doing it. For example, he told me he was gonna get me a push present when I gave birth to our son, but didn’t. I don’t expect these things but he goes out of his way to tell me what “he was gonna get me” but then doesn’t. After maternity leave he said he was gonna get me these boots I rly wanted and flowers for going back to work, then didn’t. Didn’t fill my stocking on Christmas, and now didn’t even write me a note or get me a card for Mother’s Day. I am so upset, but don’t want to seem shallow by bringing it up. It’s truly not about the expense or money value of a gift it’s the effort that I crave, am I the asshole for being upset??
