So on Feb 17th I noticed a small "rash" on my feet/legs, took a picture, then forgot about it as I tend to get random "rashes" that go away.
Turns out it's petechiae. It would go away and come back worse from February 17th to beginning of April.
I seen my primary Dr and they were unsure. I got into a dermatologist on March 23rd who mentioned vasculitis and pigmented purpuric dermotois but wanted to check my platelets, I went and got the CBC and it only showed a few abnormals that are normal for me and also high Eosinophils which is new.. she diagnosed as pigmented purpuric dermotois and was unsure why Eosinophils were high but what she was looking for was fine to call back if it doesn't resolve.. (my primary ended up testing for parasites and it was negative and just said we would keep track of CBC) a couple days later the petechiae came back worse, including swelling in my feet and ankles. I called dermatologist and they decided to refer me to vascular surgeon. I just seen him, and he said it's a rheumatologist issue and dermatologist should of done biopsy while petechiae was present.. my legs have been clear since the swelling flare but I do feel weird sensations of soreness in my legs... he said to call dermatologist for biopsy if it comes back, and if vasculitis they can send to rheumatologist for treatment etc... I ended up asking my primary doctor to send me a referral to rheumatologist as I also do have HSD/HEDS and used to see one.. he ended up calling me and saying I do not need a rheumatologist, that I'm fine, and he only went along with dermatologist sending me to vascular to ease my anxiety, I just have pigmented purpuric dermotois like dermatologist originally diagnosed me with... I told him dermatologist is the one who sent me to vascular and he said he knows and stop wasting my money on all these doctors... I have insurance that literally rarely denies anything...
I've had no recent med changes, no changes in anything in home, ECT.. most recent sickness was October with lymphagitis from a cat bite where I was hospitalized but even vascular said unlikely to be related.
I have HSD/HEDS, POTS, GERD, chronic inactive gastritis with intestinal metaplasia, and occasional high BP.
