Hello. This is a very weird situation, and i’m unsure what to do at the moment. For background, my husband and I have a very good relationship with his best friend and his wife. The husband, who is a childhood friend of my husband shared to him that he had an affair while he was on a trip, and the girl is now pregnant. He told him that he was the only person that would ever know, and he’s not planning on telling a soul. He wants to keep the baby, but as of right now we don’t know what would be decided. Obviously, my husband ran to me and told me everything. Here is the difficult part of the situation. His wife who has become one of my closest friends is currently in the process of applying for her marriage green card through him, and they have the interview for it in a couple weeks. I fear if I say anything to her before hand it will ruin her legal process , and i’m unsure how she would react if that ends up being the case since she really needs it and has taken a couple years to get to this point. I spoke to her about something unrelated and she seemed fished out about the whole trip her husband had, so I believe she will catch on eventually, however I feel the need to tell her. Should I wait?
