Stand user/Stand idea help: "happy pill"
So for a personal project I am writing a story HEAVILY inspired by Jonathan's Strange Quest (jjba) called Debt and Depression on the Docks. Some context for how stands work in this story, stand is a drug that gets the users to enter into a shared hallucination with other stand users, causing them to have stands which while they can't effect non-stand users, stand users hit by per-say a fireball will have their body believe so hard that it was burned, it'll do it's best to replicate the symptoms of being severely burned. The nature of stand being a drug like this, makes it genuinely fucking hilarious to watch a stand battle as a non-stand user.
Anyways I was thinking of a stand user who has something called "Alien hand syndrome" which is a real but very rare disorder. They use the stand drug (just called Stand) to not quite control but be able to communicate with their hand, the hand has a personality of it's own.
Other details I have down for sure:
They have the type of it where they feel like the hand is a foreign entity, I forgot which part of the brain that' correlated with, also caused by the severing of both brain hemisphere's due to seizures
Another stand user can cure them if they accept the stand as part of their own body and mind
The stand is somewhat antagonistic and does not fully obey it's user, but isn't gonna try and murder 'em
This character is definitely going to be fiercely loyal out of desperation to do whatever they can to get their hand back (they are on the drug 24/7), and are 99% gonna start as an antagonist but are the most easy to redeem of themselves.

What I don't know:
Wtf is this stand gonna even do besides "hello hand"
how am I gonna characterize the hand stand even
how to introduce them and or backstory/character arc especially while not being super distasteful towards the disorder
If anyone has any inputs or ideas that'd be great, I ain't asking people to write for me just getting my brain kick started. I people know alot about alien hand syndrome please tell me anything you know.
