Contract & Timeline
Work began: Mid-January 2026
Prior written communication (July 2025) clearly stated a 5-month project timeline
The GC later claimed (February /March) we were behind schedule and repeatedly pressured us to accelerate work and hire additional workers, despite the nature of the work not supporting rapid scaling
At a trades meeting, I presented the original email confirming the agreed timeline, contradicting the GC’s claims in front of project stakeholders

Escalation & Suspected Retaliation
Following this meeting, the GC appeared agitated after being challenged publicly
Shortly after, formwork that my team completed was tampered with:
A concrete retarding agent was applied to the forms without my knowledge
This caused damage to the finished concrete surface, resulting in material and reputational harm
- I believe this may constitute intentional sabotage (malicious interference), (there was someone caught on camera on the site (it was admitted through email) around 9:30 pm, with a headlamp on, although the site is locked and nothing was stolen).
The responsible party has not been definitively identified

Fraudulent Financial Activity
The GC submitted and/or altered a AIA Document G702 (payment application/statutory declaration)
Issues identified:
A change order was added without my knowledge or consent
My signature was falsified or applied without authorization
The additional funds listed were never paid to me

Coercion & Payment Withholding
The GC is now:
Pressuring me to sign the altered G702 document
Stating that failure to sign will result in withholding future payments/invoices
- This raises concerns of:
Fraud / misrepresentation
Forgery / unauthorized signing
Coercion tied to payment release

Key Legal Issues
Breach of contract (timeline misrepresentation and payment issues) (I just want out of this contract with a settlement of $200k)
Fraud and possible forgery related to payment documents
Potential intentional interference / sabotage of work
Payment withholding and coercion
Issues related to lien waivers and statutory declarations

Outcome Sought
Recovery of unpaid funds
Exiting this contract with a payout
Clarification and correction of fraudulent documentation
Accountability for damages caused to completed work
Protection from further financial or contractual harm

Notes
Evidence includes:
Email confirming original timeline
Witnesses from trades meeting
Damaged work from chemical interference
Payment documents (G702) showing discrepancies
