Interesting school question...questionable motive.
My 11 year old granddaughter's social studies class was asked a very interesting question by their teacher today. The question was, "If someone were to break into your house, what would you defend yourself with?" I thought that to be a very weird question to a bunch of 10 and 11 year olds. Not, what would you do? But "what would you defend yourself with?" When I asked what some of her classmates answered, they were your typical 10-11 year old answers, eg "I would use a stick", "Id use my dog", one kid even said "id use lasers". But I wonder....What if a kid would have said..."I would use my dad's gun"? What questions would have followed???
