so I got in contact with trans world systems about my debt and they said they don’t own it anymore it was recalled on April 14th, I haven’t gotten any emails from the new company that holds it or any information whatsoever (keep in mind my phone was off for the whole year I just turned it own last month but I’ve gotten emails from trans world systems about the collection attempt)

I called Verizon back to find out where the debt is now but because I didn’t have the number anymore or any account info they couldn’t tell me anything,

I gave my social and they finally said it was now with someplace called McCarthy burgess and wolf, I’m not sure if the debt is the same last I checked it was $600 but how are they with pay and delete or getting off my credit or at least settling for less ?

I’m going to call them in the morning but I’m not sure what to say I know you’re not supposed to admit anything but I saw they were aggressive so I’m nervous.

i just need a carrr this is so frustrating

opened a Verizon line like a year ago and then lost my job got behind on payments and since I got employment I called Verizon to pay it off after like a year or start to make payments,

they said they couldn’t find my account and I gave up after trying to apply to apartments awhile after I kept getting denied looked to see why (of course my 541 had a bigggg part to play) but I saw a collection mark when I looked on credit karma experian etc but could never find who actually had it since Verizon said i dont exist, it only says Verizon everywhere, (Verizon overdue bill was $600)

then going through my spam one day I found an email from transworld systems saying my creditor had agreed to accept like half of what I owe, I’m trying to find an apartment or more hopefully a car and get a loan, I recently opened a credit card unsecured with capitol one surprise

they approved me for a $300 credit limit paid it on time till recently had to change the bank I paid from it got paid late returned blah blah blah they closed the account

but I was left with a 579 582 and 594 way better than my 541 a few months ago anyway tomes were hard in the post so I had to apply for a small loan and have hard inquires but i feel like what really hurting is the collection, I want to be able to get a car loan or be able to finance a car with fair interest fair monthly payments yk not crazy deals what can I do I’m so lost
