Yeast Infection Help
Hi! I’ve been suffering from a bunch of issues (UTIs, BV, yeast) ever since getting an IUD. Most recently my issue has been yeast. I’ve had 3 infections (or maybe just one that never fully cleared) in the past 2 months. I was treated with diflucan initially and it seemed to work but I was only clear for about two weeks before the yeast was raging again. I treated that second flare up with miconazole (generic Monistat) which also worked for a couple of weeks. That brings me to the latest infection. I was prescribed diflucan and terconazole and finished both medications last week. My symptoms have improved, but I can still see some yeast in my discharge. My doctor is telling me to give it more time, but wouldn’t the meds have already done all that they’re going to when it’s been well over 72 hours since the last dose? I just want this to go away 😭
