Hey all - I come to you for help!

I am not good with using CC points. Until recently I was just using them as an eraser. I now know there are far more effective ways to use points for travel, than I have been doing. I’ve been using third party websites to check out offers and such, but that feels so open ended that it gets hard to narrow anything down (date, location, etc.)

My question for you - where do I see Capital One partner transfer offers? For example (I’m making this up), but do I understand it correctly that there will periodically be offers to say transfer Capital one miles to British airways miles at a better rate than typically is offered? If so, where do these show up? Email? In app?

I currently have 300k capital one miles, and I know saving them isn’t a good plan, so trying to get better at catching an offer and acting on it. I mostly just care about flights.

Hey all - this sub has really helped me over the years, thanks for being a great community!

Im planning on going to Romania in late September after Germany. Here is my itinerary:

Wed: Fly into Cluj-Napoca (~1:10pm), rent a car, drive to Sighișoara and stay there overnight (so wouldn’t really see much of cluj - maybe my first mistake?)
Thurs: Morning in Sighișoara and drive through countryside, stop in Viscri. Continue to Brașov and stay there.
Fri: Explore Brașov + nearby mountain villages (Măgura / Peștera), possibly quick stop at Bran Castle. Stay in Brasov again
Sat: Drive the Transfăgărășan, stop at Bâlea Lake, continue to Sibiu and stay there.
Sun: Morning in Sibiu and drive to Bucharest (overnight, likely near airport)
Mon: Fly out early back or the US

Would LOVE any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, dos/donts, etc.

- Is the Transfăgărășa still typically open / worth it in late September?
- Any must-stop places I’m missing between Sighișoara to Brașov or along the drive?
- Would you change anything major?

Hi friends - just hit the 100k Venture X bonus today (Whoot Whoot!!)

I still have a Venture as well. I’ve been poking around this sub lately, is the move to downgrade the venture to the Savor? Or would you recommend something different?

If it at all matters, I have 160k in venture points and 127k in X points. (287k total)
