When asking a girl out, should you make it clear that you're romantically interested?
It sounds odd but I've seen different opinions and advice on this, yet no one specifies it.
When asking a girl out, do I mention that I'm romantically interested and that it's gonna be a date, or do I just casually ask her to go out as friends, and then let things take their own path? I can see both being "correct".
If you specify that you're romantically interested, the other person knows your clear intentions and can choose to take the next step or simply reject you immediately, saving both of your times.
If you casually ask them out, there's less pressure and it gives them more time to get to know you better and potentially decide they are also interested in you.
I personally lean towards being honest and straightfoward, I don't wanna waste anyone's time. What are your thoughts?
