Basement apartment and wifi
Well, the past few days have been nothing but heartache. Essentially we moved to the Barrie area in a basement apartment. We were originally going to go with Bell since our upstairs neighbours are with Bell, but long behold, the technician couldn’t help and had to contact a contractor to do some digging to install a new line for us and they were apparently able to do so…However, after multiple attempts to get a technician to finish the “inside work” and many no shows from Bell I decided to cancel with Bell and am now looking into Roger’s.
It appears that the previous tenant before us never had WIFI and this home is about 2 years old so it looks like we don’t have any lines inside our apartment which would mean Roger’s would have to come in and get that done, I would believe. I am wondering how much work would Roger’s need to do to get us connected and would they also need to dig/install outside lines along with inside lines as well, basically starting over again? or would it be easier for them to figure out? I have no idea how the cabling part of wifi works all I know is that Bell has different cables than Roger’s. I’m just trying to see if I’m running in circles with this whole thing and if I should just cut my losses and accept the fact that wifi isn’t possible for our situation. Any info or similar experiences helps! I just want to get this out of the way! Thank you
