Face Wash - Eczema Prone

Face Wash - Eczema Prone

Guys, this has been my life saver when I got eczema flare up. I was using the Simple moisturising face wash which worked fine, but during my flare up the eczema kept on getting worse. Switched to the Minimalist oat cleaner and voila! It does not strip my skin, like at all. It is low-foaming, cushiony, creamy gel like texture and does good enough job for cleansing.

Sharing this for guys who are suffers from eczema. You will not regret it :)

I am facing with one bad case of flair up - tight, red inflamed and itchy skin with flaky (now) / crusts (during the initial month) - around mouth, eyes and neck. This was triggered at the end of winter and I live in a dry dry city. This could be mistaken as perioral dermatitis but it’s not.
During the first 2 weeks I applied metronidazole and an ointment containing Fluticasone Propionate and Mupirocin. The initial results were good but the flair up kept coming back and I could not keep using the steroid cream.
So I went to the basics. (1) Stopped using face wash and every 2-3 days using non-foaming oat based cleanser. Else use only water to clean. (2) Using aloe Vera gel as frequently as possible (I have a plant at home so using that for now). (3) Oat moisturiser frequently (Aveeno one). (4) Stopped using Vaseline for now (read somewhere that it could cause to trap in the bacteria). (5) Stopped using every other product I usually apply.
And now my skin finally feels calmer and breathing. I am so happy with the results.
Just sharing in case someone is going through the same issue and needs it.
