Hey guys so there’s been 2 different situations that has happened to 2 of the baristas at my store and I find them kinda odd and unfair so I’m wondering what this could possibly be about. One of the baristas requested time off in advance and my SM told them that they have to use vacation time to have it off. I’ve never been told this or had to do this before with any of my time off requests so I feel bad, it just seems a little odd. Never knew that it was a requirement? The other barista asked for like 2 days off 4 weeks in advance and right away my SM disapproved it. It’s not like we won’t have a barista for those day parts, everyone’s hours are so low and cut that anyone could really work those timeframes and honestly WOULD like too anyways. I guess I could understand if other baristas took the time off but honestly I kinda doubt it. It would make more sense if SSVs dealt with this since there is less of us but baristas?? I guess I’m not really understanding. I’m curious to hear thoughts on this.
